2003 will be the Offshore Technology Conference's second year in Houston's new Reliant Center in the Reliant complex (formerly the AstroDomain). Based on last year's inaugural event, SEG attendees at OTC will enjoy big, comfortable rooms for the technical sessions, an enormous floor for technical showcase booths, on-site catering, and almost-adequate parking. (Hey, it is Houston. You can't expect the parking to be easy for an event that will draw about 50 000 people, can you? But it's a lot better than it was two years ago.) You can access the complete, and very comprehensive, OTC technical program at http://www.spe.org/otc2003.

This year's OTC (5–8 May) has three full (or overfull) days of interpretive and acquisition geophysics. Monday morning leads off with a session on the evolving technology of Marine Sources and Receivers. Several talks in this session . . . [Full Text of this Article]
